So, about In Life, In Death:
The novella is set in a fantasy universe inspired by the ancient mesoamerican cultures, predominantly the Mexica/Aztecs and the Maya. I did as much research as I could, but it’s not a historical work. I’ve made up the religion wholesale.
This first novella follows one year in the life of a prince who was chosen to be a sacrifice. There are sexy rituals, traumatizing rituals, a bit of politics, and maybe a few supernatural occurrences too. However, please note that this is not an HEA.
The series itself will follow different people who are connected to the fate of the city of Xochititlan, and how they are touched by various gods.
